The
Public Policy Institute of California is a prominent, non-partisan
think tank researching economic, educational and political issues
in
the state of California.
PPIC
wanted an efficient way for users to access their numerous publications
and support the extensive media coverage given to
their research.
Third
Strand helped PPIC manage input from many different constituencies
within their organization, designing and building a site that
reflects PPIC’s serious, academic ethos. The resulting site enables
users to easily navigate a large number of pages and publications
as well as make online purchases. The content management system
that Third Strand built allows PPIC’s administrative staff
to manage the site’s extensive content without relying on
outside consultants. The result has been a dramatic increase in
the number of people using the site.
